"What's not required with me - 'Sensible' eye contact, or having the words already figured out.
There are no rights or wrongs in therapy just reciprocal trust.
Make yourself comfortable - Sometimes the conversations happen on the floor, during a beach walk, through creativity, or with Bowie quietly snoozing nearby.
You'll be met with honesty, warmth, and care."
A wee bit about me.
Hello, I’m Ashley.
I’m an Integrative Psychotherapist, clinical registered counsellor, arts therapist, group facilitator, and a curious human who has always been fascinated by what helps people heal, grow, and find their way home to themselves.
Originally from Scotland and now based in Bayside Melbourne, I bring both professional training and lived experience to my work. I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, and that experience deepened my understanding of how many people spend years feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, or like they don’t quite fit.
Outside of therapy you’ll usually find me listening to music, walking on the beach, exploring nature, writing, spending time with the people I love, or being enthusiastically supervised by Bowie, my registered therapy dog. Nature, music, creativity, animals and good conversations are less hobbies and more extended family.
Like many people I work with, I’ve experienced seasons of loss, growth, change, and rediscovering what matters most. Those experiences don’t make me an expert in anyone else’s life, but they have shaped the way I sit with people - with curiosity, compassion, humility, and hope.
My approach is trauma-informed, neuroaffirming, relational, and deeply respectful of each person’s unique way of being.
I work with teens, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, burnout, grief, life transitions, neurodivergence, relationships, identity, and personal growth.
I believe healing, growth, learning, support, and belonging happen in relationship, and it is an absolute privilege to walk alongside people as they reconnect with themselves, trust themselves, and discover what matters most.
